MILANI Conceal+Perfect/ FAIL

April 28, 2018

Heeeey! I had been seeing so many influencers and bloggers rave about this foundation and telling HOW full-coverage and nice and long-wearing it is that I never gave up on the thought of finding it and giving it a go myself. They do not sell Milani in Finland at all and a thought of ordering a foundation on the internet just gives me chills, I mean, I can not even pick out the right shade at the store.
Last month I was in Tallinn over the weekend and a flash hit me that I can get Milani there and so I went and picked up this foundation.
First problem- I got the wrong shade- come oooon. It will be great somewhere in the middle of summer- I hope.
Second thing is- it is so heavy and thick. I do get that it says full coverage and all that but it is just thick on my face and it sits like an add-on layer. For example I have used the Make up Forever both liquid and stick foundations and they do not act like that- they are super heavy duty and high-coverage but they do not just sit there.
And because of the fact that it did not blend it just sat weirdly and setting it with a powder made it even worse. About two hours after wearing it I could see smile lines and the lines under my eyes wearing in. Also, it separated on the sides of my nose. And it just made my skin look worse.
I have read and heard so many great things about it that I would like to get a lighter shade and try it out once again. I do not have perfect skin so I feel that I need more product to make it look better and that may be the reason of it not working for me. To me it seems to be a suitable foundation for someone who has great skin already and can use just the tiny amount of that product and make their skin look even better.

DOSE OF COLORS lipgloss

April 16, 2018

Heeey!
Dose of Colors came out with some really good looking glosses and they were quite wanted I suppose- for the first time that I wanted to get them, they were sold out on Beautybay. Second time visiting the website a little later I managed to get the one I was most curious about- shade Goalz. This is a sheer gold shimmer and looked just too pretty on the picture.
For example the Fenty beauty Gloss bomb has more pinky or red sheen and some nude glitter reflects. Goalz is a sheer gold shimmer with a milky colour of the gloss itself.
Because I have quite red lips myself I was a little scared that this will be just too light on it’s own my lips. But I was really surprised by the end result. It is too pretty on the lips. It smells great and applies beautifully and I wish I get a chance to try more of their glosses soon. They are constantly sold out, if you can- get them and give them a try!

Philips StyleCare curler

April 10, 2018

Heeey!
Do you follow me on Instagram, if you do then you probably would have seen my story about how to get the perfect curls and I used not any other tool but the StyleCare curler by Philips. (If you do not, then what are you waiting for, head there and find me and see my Highlights to find what and how I used to achieve these curls!) They have an awesome technology built in to this thing and at first I was scared of putting my hair in it and just let it curl away but it worked out in the end as I think it needs a little practice in the beginning.
The way to use it is that you just take the section of your hair place it through the side in to the curler vertically, push a button and hold it down and let the wand inside curl your hair around it, hold it and when you hear a longer beep it means that you can let go of the button and the wand will release your fully curled section. Cool thing is, that if something goes wrong the tool automatically switches off and releases your hair without any damage or pulling.
Of course you can choose and set out a temperature that you want your hair to be curled at. And you can also choose how long you want the device to curl each of your sections. You can also set out the direction of the curl- if you want it to curl on the left or right or both ways.
The product has a great design and it has been certainly made sure that you will not burn yourself or your hair, which is extremely thoughtful.
The downside for me is that it took some time to get  hold of the proper way to use it and in my opinion it is a little complicated to use on yourself- curling of the sections in the back was super tough for me and using a mirror confused me even more on which way I should hold the curler and where should I put my section etc. Also, it is quite heavy, so lifting it up and down holding it while it curls your hair is pretty tiring. But, I tested it out on my relative and she has super long thick hair and it worked great with it and all in all for me it was much more comfortable to use on somebody else than on myself.

REVLON COLORSTAY FOUNDATION

February 02, 2018

Heey! Have you ever had a foundation that you once try and you love it so much that no matter what else you try you always go back to that one foundation? I know you have and that Revlon Colorstay foundation is that for me.
I think this is the only foundation that I have found my right shade from. It has quite a small range of shades as they are all pretty light but at the same time they all have different undertones. My shade is 180 sand beige. They have two different formulas one being for dry skin and other one for combination/oily skin.
I am using the last on and it fits perfectly with my skin type. I usually apply it with a beauty blender and it gives it more coverage and blends it out flawlessly. I powder it down with my MAC powder and it looks just right to me. Also all of the other products that I use on my face layer really well on it. This product lasts through long work days and even longer nights, of course my Urban Decay AllNighter helps a little with that.
Do you have any holy grail foundations yourself? I would love to hear about them and give them a try and see how they work out for me :)

He is a little over two months old and is a pretty chestnut color. Exciting times ahead!
Hope you enjoy all of these photos because he is super cute in each one of them! Of course most of them are super blurry cause he can not be still for one second ;)

GLOSS BOMB by Fenty Beauty

January 02, 2018

Heeey! So the other product that I picked up from Fenty Beauty is this Gloss Bomb in "Fenty glow". Glosses are doing a huge comeback this year in my opinion and everyone that I had seen try it had loved it.
This product claims to be a universal lip luminizer which means that it suits every skin tone. And I think it really does. I like the fact that it is not completely sheer and does not have any huge chunks of different coloured glitter. The microglitter that it has inside seems to change the colour in different lighting and is not super bright. I apply a thin layer of it and it just brings your lips back to life as it is super moisturising and adds just a little bit of colour.
I think it will be also perfect for summertime and I love the wet effect that it leaves on the lips.
I appreciate the size of it as it is quite short, but at the same time it is a little bulky.
The packaging is beautiful and leaves a high-end feeling of the product. The doe foot applicator is bigger than normal and grabs a lot of product (which could really help those bigged-lips girls). Also the wand of the applicator is shorter than usual which helps with a nice even and precise application. I also really like the sweet vanilla scent that it has.
