Philips StyleCare curler

April 10, 2018

Heeey!
Do you follow me on Instagram, if you do then you probably would have seen my story about how to get the perfect curls and I used not any other tool but the StyleCare curler by Philips. (If you do not, then what are you waiting for, head there and find me and see my Highlights to find what and how I used to achieve these curls!) They have an awesome technology built in to this thing and at first I was scared of putting my hair in it and just let it curl away but it worked out in the end as I think it needs a little practice in the beginning.
The way to use it is that you just take the section of your hair place it through the side in to the curler vertically, push a button and hold it down and let the wand inside curl your hair around it, hold it and when you hear a longer beep it means that you can let go of the button and the wand will release your fully curled section. Cool thing is, that if something goes wrong the tool automatically switches off and releases your hair without any damage or pulling.
Of course you can choose and set out a temperature that you want your hair to be curled at. And you can also choose how long you want the device to curl each of your sections. You can also set out the direction of the curl- if you want it to curl on the left or right or both ways.
The product has a great design and it has been certainly made sure that you will not burn yourself or your hair, which is extremely thoughtful.
The downside for me is that it took some time to get  hold of the proper way to use it and in my opinion it is a little complicated to use on yourself- curling of the sections in the back was super tough for me and using a mirror confused me even more on which way I should hold the curler and where should I put my section etc. Also, it is quite heavy, so lifting it up and down holding it while it curls your hair is pretty tiring. But, I tested it out on my relative and she has super long thick hair and it worked great with it and all in all for me it was much more comfortable to use on somebody else than on myself.
